Joined the Bungie UI/UX Team in 2019 just before the release of Shadowkeep as a Senior UI/UX Technical Designer. The tech design role offered me the opportunity to utilize my skills as a UX Designer, UI Artist / Technical Designer, Motion Graphics Designer, and Manager to help design, implement, and ship a number of features such as: Cross Play, Sub-Class 2.0, Guardian Ranks, and Gilded Titles across multiple releases including Shadowkeep, Beyond Light, The Witch Queen, The Edge of Fate, and Renegades.
Cross Play
- Refactor of Roster and Nameplate UI to support cross platform functionality across the entire game from Bootflow, Orbit, and In-Activity representation to Fireteam, Friend, and Clan lists
- Implementation of Bungie Friend ID search and add / block features on Friends List
- Implementation of new toast system to support Fireteam, Friend, and Clan Invites
- Implementation of Nameplate Accessibility Contrast update to improve readability across Roster screens
- Implementation of Windows Store and Epic Store support when Destiny 2 was released to those platforms
Gilded Titles
- Implementation of updated Nameplates, Character Screen, and Seals / Titles screens to support Gilded Titles feature
Text Chat Updates (Cross Platform Access and Font Size Accessibility Updates)
- Update to Text Chat system to allow access to text chat on console platforms
- Implementation of Font Size customization accessibility updates to Text Chat system for readability on smaller or larger displays
Destiny 2: Release Title Screens
Implementation and motion graphics of the title screens for The Witch Queen, The Edge of Fate, and Renegades.
Activity Intros
- Implementation of Activity Intros UI that display before most competitive and team based activities. UI included:
- Allowing player to cycle through cinematic rendered fireteam players via UI
- Communicating fireteam member information such as activity specific metrics and build information as player cycles through their fireteam members
- Creating templatized UI to support sustainable theme-ing across multiple activities
Guardian Ranks
- Provided UX Design, Wireframe Flows, and Element States (including categories, tooltips, and navigational elements) to support the implementation of the Guardian Ranks system for the Lightfall release
- Provided UX Design for the re-design of the Seals and Titles screens to support the new Journey tab in the Director
- Implementation of Access Points to Guardian Ranks from the Character screen and objective completion toast UI
Invite Friends Update (Modal)
- Design and implementation of the Invite Friends modal UI to support improved usability and easier access for the player to manage their friend and fireteam lists
Lore Screen 2.0
- Provided UX Design and Wireframe Flows to support the overhaul of the Lore screens for improved readability and navigation
