Who am I? I am a 20-year veteran of the Digital Product and UI / UX Design world with experience and versatility across multiple mediums and platforms. A highly collaborative design lead with hands-on experience planning, designing, developing, and shipping live-service game features, mobile / tablet / responsive app products, interactive museum installations, and deliverables in visual / motion / print / rich media formats. An experienced leader of cross-disciplinary in-person and remote teams – shipping successful creative campaigns and user experiences for Bungie, Microsoft, The Getty Center, Motorola, The Museum of History & Industry (MOHAI), IBM, Disney, ABC, Dell, Acer, The Huntington Library, HP and Intel.

For over 6 years, I was a UI / UX Design Feature Lead and Senior UI / UX Technical Designer on the live-service game Destiny 2 for Bungie. Leading a diverse UI / UX design and development team of 10-12 to scope, plan, design, and ship large-scale UI / UX features across 3 major releases (Lightfall, The Final Shape, Into The Light) including: The Director, Activity UI, Pathfinder Objective System, Featured Quests, Into the Light UI, and Activity Power & Difficulty Communication. As an IC, I worked on the design, prototyping, implementation, and shipping of in-engine UI features including: Cross Play, Sub-Class 2.0 (Stasis), Guardian Ranks, Lore Re-Design, Activity Intros, The Seasonal Hub, Title Screens for 3 major releases: The Witch Queen, The Edge of Fate, and Renegades, and Text Chat Support for Consoles.

For over 16 years before that, I was the acting Creative Director and UI / UX Design Lead at Red Card Studios – a local Seattle design agency I co-founded in 2001 – working hands on as well as managing teams of designers and developers to produce a wide variety of deliverables including end-to-end UI / UX designs (Sketch, Figma), responsive web products (HTML, JS, CSS, WordPress), mobile and tablet apps & games, animated motion graphics deliverables & product demos (Adobe Suite), social media advertising campaigns (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest), rich-media (Carousel advertising, Video, YouTube), print campaigns, and e-Learning modules (SCORM, LMS).

I have experience at every stage of the design process from working through sketches and specs with the client, to concept and flow documents, to wireframes and prototypes, through to managing a team to shipping products and features.
